Rum Balls

Makes about 40 cookies.

Bernice's recipe. You might want to keep the kids away from these.


2 pkg. (7 oz. each) vanilla wafers, rolled fine or blended
1 c. powdered sugar
2-1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
1-1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
3 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1/2 c. good rum


Mix all ingredients together and shape into one-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Let sit for at least two hours to absorb the rum and for the flavors to mingle. (Overnight is preferred.)
